Frequently asked questions

Why should I sign up for Poppins?

Parenting doesn't come with a manual, and every child is uniquely different – even siblings. Whether you're looking for reassurance, wanting to build confidence, or simply need a judgment-free expert to consult, Poppins is here for Pennsylvania families.

Our parent coaches support you with both immediate challenges and long-term goals across all age groups, including:

  • Establishing peaceful bedtime routines that actually work
  • Navigating tantrums and emotional outbursts
  • Developing effective discipline strategies for teenagers
  • Implementing positive reinforcement techniques that build strong relationships
  • Creating alignment between co-parents to maintain consistency

Plus, our 24/7 pediatric medical care gives busy families peace of mind when:

  • Your child gets sick outside of regular office hours and your only option is pediatric urgent care or the ER
  • You need medical advice for an urgent or non-urgent question
  • You're unsure if symptoms warrant an in-person visit
  • You need a treatment plan, but don't have time for an in-person visit
  • You have questions about common childhood illnesses, medications, or concerns

Think of us as your complete parenting allies – we're here to make your daily life easier and more enjoyable by providing expert guidance for both behavioral and medical needs exactly when you need it most.

How does Poppins work?

Getting started is simple. After completing our onboarding questionnaire and payment, you'll meet with your parent coach for a 45-minute session. They'll get to know your family, understand your unique challenges, and create a personalized action plan to help you overcome current parenting hurdles.

Your ongoing support includes:

  • Regular check-ins and reminders to keep you on track
  • Text access to your parent coach for questions, updates, or problem-solving
  • 24/7 medical support with responses within 15 minutes, including the ability to share photos, videos, or audio (like recordings of a cough) for accurate diagnosis

We've designed the experience to be both comprehensive and convenient, ensuring you have expert support whenever you need it.

Do you offer parenting classes near me?

We believe that every family is unique, with its own specific challenges, dynamics, and needs. That's why we've intentionally chosen to provide personalized one-on-one support for both behavior coaching and pediatric medical care. This approach allows us to create a judgment-free space where we can focus solely on you and your family's specific situation.

How quickly can I reach my care team?

Our medical team responds within 15 minutes via text message, 24/7. Your dedicated parent coach will reply during business hours on the same day, or by the next business day if you message after hours. We got you.

Are Poppins healthcare providers licensed in Pennsylvania?

Absolutely. All of our Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants hold current PA state licenses and are authorized to provide pediatric care to children in Pennsylvania. They're familiar with local healthcare regulations and referral networks.

We support you completely, so you can support them confidently.
