What is Poppins and how does it support families?

Poppins is a comprehensive, on-demand family support service that puts pediatric care and parent coaching under one roof to reduce household stress for busy parents.

Our personalized parent coaching covers everything from toddler tantrums and bedtime routines to teen independence, school situations, and co-parenting coordination. Our coaching packages include:

  • Parent Coaching
  • Sleep Coaching
  • Potty Training Coaching

We provide medical care during days, evenings, and weekends with clinicians from top hospitals such as Duke, Boston Children's, Seattle Children's, CHOP, and NYU. Our medical team can diagnose, treat, and prescribe if necessary — with response times under 15 minutes. We also support families with nutrition guidance, sleep support, school notes, and help with school paperwork like ADHD evaluations.

You shouldn't have to figure out if your child's behavior is medical or behavioral, or bounce between the pediatrician and a behavioral specialist while googling at 2 AM. Many parenting challenges have both medical and behavioral components — so we put it all under one roof.

How does Poppins work for busy parents?

Getting started is simple. Click the Get Started button at the top of the page and pick your plan: Medical or Coaching. Once you're in, you get our private phone number to access your team.

If you sign up for a coaching package, you'll schedule your first session with your coach. They'll get to know your family's unique challenges and create a personalized action plan to help you overcome your current hurdles. Our coaching packages include:

  • Parent Coaching
  • Sleep Coaching
  • Potty Training Coaching

Once you're set up, you'll get:

  • With Coaching: Regular check-ins and reminders to keep you on track, plus text access to your coach for questions, updates, or problem-solving
  • With Medical: Medical support during days, evenings, and weekends with response times under 15 minutes, including the ability to share photos, videos, or audio (like recordings of a cough) for accurate diagnosis

We've designed the experience to be both comprehensive and convenient, ensuring you have expert support whenever you need it.

Who is on my Poppins care team?

Your care team includes a dedicated parent coach who helps address your immediate challenges while creating a roadmap for your parenting goals, plus our medical team of pediatric nurse practitioners available during days, evenings, and weekends who can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication if necessary. The medical team is led by Dr. Mona Amin, our Chief Medical Officer. The team is also supervised by Dr. Martin Maimon.

How fast can I talk to a pediatric clinician at Poppins?

Our medical team responds in less than 15 minutes on days evenings and weekends. Your dedicated parent coach will reply during business hours on the same day, or by the next business day if you message after hours.

Do you partner with pediatrician offices?

Absolutely! Poppins works with pediatric practices to provide after-hours support for their families. This partnership delivers quality care when the office is closed while helping offices manage costs effectively.

Does Poppins take insurance?

At this time we do not take insurance, but our pricing is designed to save you money compared to what you'd typically pay out-of-pocket — especially if your deductible hasn't been met:

  • Parent coaching sessions: $150 each
  • Urgent care visits: $200 each
  • Emergency room visits: $2,000 each
  • Plus your usual $30–$50 co-pays add up fast

With Poppins, there are no co-pays and no surprise bills — just straightforward pricing starting at $20/month for medical care and $99 for coaching packages. Many families find they save significantly compared to traditional care.

Is Poppins a replacement for my pediatrician?

No. Poppins is designed to complement your child’s pediatrician, not replace them. We help families handle everyday medical questions, parenting challenges, and sleep issues in real time, while guiding you on when in-person care or follow-up is needed.
